Approx. 150 NYPD officers with gas masks were found practicing ‘how to make a wedge’ under the FDR today.
For those who don’t know, a wedge is a military strategy used to break enemy lines. Riot police have adapted the tactic to break into a dense crowd as a snatch squad to arrest a leader/speaker or to divide demonstrations.
